What Is the OTTER?

The OTTER Program (Onboarding, Training & Technical Evaluation Review) is a supervised learning opportunity where qualified ABA trainees review Embark ABA training content for accuracy, ethics, and alignment with modern practice standards.

Members complete unrestricted supervised fieldwork activities that build analytical skills and strengthen their clinical foundation.

You’ll evaluate:

All reviews are completed using a structured rubric and supervised by a qualified BCBA.

Eligibility Requirements

To ensure full compliance and readiness, applicants must:

🎓 Education

Complete at least 50% of ABA graduate coursework

🧭 Fieldwork

Complete at least 50% of supervised fieldwork hours

📄 Recommendations

Provide two professional recommendations:
  • One from a professor
  • One from a supervisor

Member Responsibilities

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Complete structured review rubrics
  • Submit documentation on time

Supervision Requirements

  • Attend monthly supervision/check-ins
  • Apply supervisor feedback
  • Maintain audit-ready fieldwork logs
  • Follow BACB unrestricted hour ratios

  • Communicate reliably

Time Commitment

  • Up to 80 hours per month of unrestricted activities
  • 3–6 month term (renewable)

How It Works

Submit your application, recommendations, and eligibility information.

2️⃣ Complete Onboarding

Sign the supervision contract and receive training on the review process.

3️⃣ Receive Weekly/Monthly Review Assignments

Review modules, lessons, or scenarios using the standardized rubric.

4️⃣ Submit Documentation

Turn in rubrics, logs, and notes for BCBA review.

5️⃣ Supervision & Feedback

Attend monthly supervision to review your progress and strengthen skills.

6️⃣ Hours Approved

Once reviewed and signed off, your hours count toward supervised fieldwork.
